The Experts of Molten Metal Transfer

Transferring molten metal is a critical step that impacts quality, safety, and productivity. MMEI’s Molten Metal Transfer systems utilize precision pump control and quiescent flow to deliver metal smoothly and consistently, whether filling ladles, moving between furnaces, or feeding casting lines. By drawing metal from mid-bath and automatically maintaining steady flow rates, our solutions reduce turbulence and dross, boost yield, and streamline operations, all while enhancing operator safety and lowering overall cost

reduce downtime with mmei conventional transfer pumps

MMEI conventional Transfer pumps are most appropriate for ultra-high-lift applications. The Mini and Workhorse pumps will meet the majority of your conventional transfer applications. Both pumps are available in top and bottom feed versions and are designed for aluminum and zinc applications. The pumps can be driven by either air or the more controllable and economical electric motor. Unlike our competitor’s pumps, our risers are not structural members of the pump and can be easily replaced. The riser sits on a button located on the base and the riser clamp is attached to the motor mount with a bolt. The riser can be changed hot, limited down time.

Dosing Pumps

MMEI’s Dosing Pumps are designed to provide accurate dosing of molds and die casting machines. It is capable of dosing between 25 Lbs. to an astonishing 600 Lbs., and it also offers precise doses of +/-1% accuracy. The subsurface metal movement ensures the cleanest of metals for your casting, enhancing overall quality. Coupled with a sealed passageway, transfer performance has never been more efficient. Whether you are aiming for swift transfer rates or short cycle times, this dosing pump is the solution. Available in three sizes tailored to your needs: the Mini, the Workhorse, and the Kong.

Hydra Transfer Pumps

The HYDRA Transfer Pump has the ability to be configured with launders, transfer piping, and heated piping for dosing applications. Expect clean transfers, high lifts, and rapid dosing, all in a design built for efficiency and durability. The small footprint allows for a fit in tighter spaces, while the rugged construction is built with the harsh molten metal environment in mind. Available in three sizes tailored to your needs: the Mini, the Workhorse, and the Kong models.

Launder Transfer Pumps

Designed with a robust shaft and rotor, MMEI’s launder transfer pumps provide maximum life expectancy and low maintenance costs. With our patented engineered design, replacing parts and servicing your pump is very maintenance friendly. In most cases, a shaft/rotor change can be accomplished in about an hour. As a result, your down-time is reduced and your productivity increases, all while improving metal yields and reducing melting costs.

Lift Transfer Pumps

MMEI’s Lift series of transfer pumps can be used in low lift applications with existing pump wells too small to allow the more versatile Launder Pump Systems.

Quick Immersion Transfer Pumps

MMEI’s new Raptor and Speed Demon transfer pumps are the perfect solution to pump out your furnace or fill crucibles, ladles, molds or ingots. Driven by a reliable, high efficiency electric motor, this pump has mobile controls and an integrated cooling blower to make sure the motor is always cooled. Used for aluminum and zinc, the quick immersion transfer pump is lightweight, portable and can be moved around easily to plug into any receptacle. The pump body is made from graphite and refractory, which allows quick immersion for fast use with flow rates up to 800 lbs. (360 Kg) per minute. Available in four lengths, this is the transfer pump you need to get the job done.
